It hurts to lose someone you love. Find help at GriefShare. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.
GriefShare meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move towards rebuilding your life. It doesn’t matter how long ago your loss occurred or how recent it was.
A GriefShare group will meet on Monday evenings beginning on September 11 at 6 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Poseyville. There are 12 sessions and you can join at any time. Each week deals with a different issue of grief so if you can’t attend every week, you will still find help on those weeks that you can attend. There is no cost to you. If you have any questions, you can call Nancy Wilder at 812-204-3765 or the church office at 812-874-2251.
If you know someone that could benefit from this group, please tell them about it and offer to come with them if they are hesitant about coming alone.
